Event Title:

Digital Fieldwork Symposium: Ethics and Methods

Event Description:

“In this panel, we want to reflect on the epistemological, methodological, ethical and practical challenges of doing digital fieldwork. When the COVID 19 pandemic spread around the world, it transformed all facets of our lives, including the research projects we were involved in. Travel and face-to-face fieldwork were restricted, and the internet became the dominant research venue. Even before the pandemic, however, many researchers were already finding innovative ways to update traditional research methodologies using a wide array of digital sources. Accordingly, our invited speakers will share their experiences in developing robust, digital research methods characterized by flexibility and creativity.”

Event Date:

March 12, 2021
